Location Method: Based on Assessment
Access Description: Access to the NW quadrant of Tully Twp is from the south where bush trails lead northwards from the end of the gravel road which ends at the Texmont Deposit. An alternate access is from the east where bush trails lead west from the end of the gravel road passing by Ice Chest Lake and Roy Lake.
Diamond drilling by Newmont Exploration in northwestern Tully Township in 1983 resulted in DDH MC83-3 intersecting a weighted average grade of 0.068 oz/ton Au / 16 feet (includes 0.155 oz/ton Au / 4 feet). Three additional holes were drilled in the vicinity of MC83-3 (MC84-1,2, and 3), two of which (holes MC84-2 and 3) intersected anomalous gold values 400 feet either side of the discovery hole. The mineralization in these two holes is described separately by means of individual MDI points. The gold values in DDH MC83-3 correlate with a number of grey mottled quartz-ankerite veinlets and a larger zone of quartz-ankerite flooding which was 3 feet in thickness.
