Exploration History

Kidd Creek Mines Ltd. drilled 4-5 holes at roughly 200m spacings along a northwest trending electromagnetic anomaly located in the north half of Lot 9, Conc 5. For the most part these holes intersected a sequence of felsic volcanic rocks, pyritic-graphitic-cherty argillites, and mafic metavolcanic rocks. The EM anomaly was explained by the presence of pyrite and graphitic material, however a number of samples contained anomalous values in gold and arsenic. For the most part, these anomalous values were associated with a portion of the pyritic-graphitic material, and DDH TU52-01 contained the most anomalous values. This hole is located on the southeastern limit of the drilling, and contained a weighted average grade of 205 ppb Au along a core length of 6.6 metres. Arsenic values varied up into the 100's ppm range.
