Location Method: Based on Assessment
Access Description: Access to the NW quadrant of Tully Twp is from the south where bush trails lead northwards from the end of the gravel road which ends at the Texmont Deposit. An alternate access is from the east where bush trails lead west from the end of the gravel road passing by Ice Chest Lake and Roy Lake.
Diamond drilling by Newmont Exploration in 1983 resulted in DDH MC83-3 discovering a gold value of 0.155 oz/ton Au / 4feet. Additional drilling was done in 1984 to follow up on this intersection, and DDH MC84-3 was drilled 400 feet along strike to the northwest. This hole intersected only anomalous gold values of 219 ppb Au / 1.0 foot (432.0-433.0 feet), and 256 ppb Au / 2.0 feet (439.0-441.0 feet). Both values were hosted by a graphitic tuff unit containing pervasive ankerite alteration. The first interval was described to be contained within a quartz zone with cubic pyrite (estimated 1% pyrite), and the second zone was described as being within nodular pyrite in graphite (est. 25% pyrite).
