UTM Zone: 17 Easting: 420927.12 Northing: 5331437.75 UTM Datum: NAD83
Resident Geologist District: Timmins
NTS Grid: 42B01NE
Point Location Description: Collar location (DDH ML3) transferred from company plans to OBM 1:20,000 topographic map.
Location Method: Data Compilation
Access Description: Access is relatively difficult though the occurrence is within 2km of the Penhorwood Main Haul road. Some old, overgrown, winter drill trails come to within 300m of the collar and connect to a road network east of the Nat River. This 5km long road network connects with the Penhorwood main haul road.
1955 Canadian Johns Manville extended their regional asbestos exploration program to cover the area. Work consisted of magnetic surveying combined with geological mapping. Seven drill holes totalling 860m tested targets generated in the initial work and in one hole intersected minor asbestos mineralization. 1991 Falconbridge carried out a magnetic and HL electromagnetic survey which covered the showing. In the following year a humus geochemical sampling program was carried out. 2005: Golden Chalice Resources Inc. – AEM, AMag. 2007: Golden Chalice Resources Inc. – AEM, AMag.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Iron formation and metavolcanic country rocks are intruded by highly carbonatized serpentinite and amphibolite. Outcrop in the area is very sparse.

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - The mineralization is hosted in a serpentinized peridotite which is slightly carbonatized. Within the serpentinized peridotite, magnetite commonly forms streaks and high concentrations. The peridotite forms a plug that has intruded into a sequence of felsic meta volcanics.

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - A number of fibrous asbestos veins with widths up to 5mm occur and form about 0.5% of the rock over 10m.
Feb 23, 2016 (A Wilson) - The drill hole cut two serpentinite sections of 1 foot and 2 feet containing minor fibre.
