Point Location Description: A water filled pit measuring 2 x 3m near the centre of an outcrop ridge in a stand of mature tim
Location Method: Field Visit with GPS
Access Description: Access is relatively easy as a 5 km long secondary logging road branching off the Kenogaming Main Haul Road terminates within a kilometre of the property. There is a heavily overgrown trail that leads from the end of the road to within a couple of hundred metres of the showing. From T-4738: TRAVEL BY VEHICLE WEST ON HIGHWAY 101 FROM THE CITY OF TIMMINS ON A WELL MAINTAINED PAVED HIGHWAY, A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 57km. THIS WILL PUT YOU AT THE PENHORWOOD - KENOGAMING LOGGING ROAD IN SEWELL TOWNSHIP. TURN LEFT OFF HIGHWAY 101 ONTO THE ROAD AND TRAVEL APPROXIMATELY 3 km TO THE FIRST SIDE ROAD THAT RUNS WEST OFF OF THE MAIN LOGGING ROAD AND PARK YOUR VEHICLE.AND WALK OR TAKE A ATV. AND TRAVEL APPROXIMATELY 3 km ON THIS ABANDONED LOGGING ROAD. THIS WILL BRING YOU TO A BEAVER DAM IN THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. A WELL MARKED TRAIL NORTH OF THE BEAVER DAM WILL TAKE YOU TO THE SOUTH END OF THE CLAIM BLOCK ON MINING CLAIM PI243773 A WALKING DISTANCE OF 1 km. OTHER MEANS OF ACCESS TO THE CLAIM BLOCK CAN BE GAINED BY WALKING THE SEWELL - REEVES TOWNSHIP LINE SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 101, A DISTANCE OF APPROKIMATELY 1 km THROUGH THE BURN. THIS WILL BRING YOU TO THE NORTH END OF THE CLAIM BLOCK ON TO MINING CLAIM P1236942 IN SEWELL TOWNSHIP.
1916 circa E Arkell originally staked claims and prior to 1923 the vein had been exposed over a half mile and a number of pits had been excavated. A sample collected by T.L. Tanton in 1916 returned a value of 0.7 g/t Au. 1983 R.J. Sheppard – AEM, AMag. 1986 Goldrock Resources mapped the area to the south and this mapping overlapped several hundred metres onto the patented claims. 2001-2003, F.Ross, G.Ross, G.Windsor, R.Durham: Prospecting, cleaning of old pits, trenching, sampling, assays (T-4738 / 2.23712; T-4750 / 2.23792; T-5011 / 2.27994). 2007-2008 Amador Gold Corp. – DD-4-1089m, Assays, Samp, Str.

Mar 15, 2016 (S Fumerton) - The mineralization is hosted in a fault locally termed the Gosselin Fault. This fault is marked by shearing and alteration though at present it is largely detected geophysically.

Mar 15, 2016 (S Fumerton) - Surrounding the showing is a pillowed and massive tholeiitic basalt sequence. Regional work suggests that this sequence trends west of north and tops to the southwest though the local foliations are variable about an east west direction. Cutting the mafic metavolcanic sequence is a sheared chlorite, carbonate schist which reportedly trends north south and host the mineralization. Within this schist there are some local siderite porphyroblasts. Due to heavy moss and lichen the extension and continuity of this schist could not be verified. A number of large diabase dykes are subparallel to the shear zone. South of the main pit at the edge of the outcrop in a possible second pit the adjacent wall rock consist of a fine grained amphibole, magnetite schist.

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - In the main pit found the vein consists of a grey, sugary quartz which may be zoned. Adjacent to the vein contacts disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite occurs. The chalcopyrite is locally mantled by pyrite. The vein in this pit is 2 to 3m thick and the sulphide phase appears to occur along the vein walls.
Jul 10, 2007 (D Draper) - Winross sampling (grab and chip samples) over the period of 2001-2003 returned best results as follows: 6242ppb Au from quartz vein in Pit #1; 2811ppb Au from Pit #2; 1436ppb Au from a mafic schist in a trench due north of pits 1 and 2; 2.19g/t Au from a quartz carbonate in Pit 1A. Pits 1, 2 and the trench are all situated in claim 1236943; Pit 1A is in claim to the south.
Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples by Tanton (1917) returned values up to 0.7 oz/t Au and chip samples of 0.02 oz/t Au across the width of the vein. A grab sample taken by Goldrock Resources from the vicinity of the pit returned an assay of 1500 ppb Au. The best assay result obtained from grab samples taken in 1992 returned 0.03 g/t Au.
