NTS Grid: 42B01SE

Point Location Description: Based on distances and bearings given in the company records.

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Access by road is possible by taking the Kenogaming and then Penhorwood Main Haul roads. Just west of Kenogaming township there are a series of secondary forestry roads branching off the main haul road to the south that go 8km towards the area of the drill set up, however, that last 4km is on a winter road.

Exploration History

1952 The area of the mineralization was on the edge of an area covered by Canadian Johns Manville who explored large parts of Penhorwood Township over twenty years in the search for asbestos. This work consisted of geological mapping, HLEM and magnetic surveys. In the Nat river area this work was followed up with six diamond drill holes totalling 860m north of the Geophysical Engineering target. 1977 Geophysical Engineering commissioned a magnetic and electromagnetic survey then drill tested a number of anomalies. These anomalies proved to be caused by graphitic argillites and iron formations. 2005: Golden Chalice Resources Inc. – AEM, AMag. 2007: Golden Chalice Resources Inc. – AEM, AMag.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - The host rock is a arenite with sand, silt and mudstone horizons together with local lean iron formations and some garnet porphyroblasts. This sedimentary sequence has been intruded by some quartz feldspar porphyry and diorite dykes. Locally the bedding is highly contorted and schistose.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - A 20cm quartz vein hosted in silty arenites contains equal amounts of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite in stringers which form up to 3% of the vein. The adjacent arenite has irregular aggregates of pyrrhotite with traces of chalcopyrite and pyrite up to 20cm from the vein. Similar aggregates are common in the core.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Assays from drill hole QQQ 4 returned values up to 3300 ppm Cu.
