Township or Area: Keith

Latitude: 48° 8' 41.43"    Longitude: -82° 19' 37.23"

UTM Zone: 17    Easting: 401289.55   Northing: 5333250.45    UTM Datum: NAD83

Resident Geologist District: Timmins

NTS Grid: 42B01SW

Point Location Description: Drill collar of Hole 17 located approximately 312m NW of showing at 284 degrees azimuth.

Location Method: Field Visit with GPS

Access Description: The easiest access is through the Joburke property via Highway 101 to the Horwood Lake/Palomar turn-off. An all weather road extends south to Joburke station on the main CNR tracks. South of the tracks a road goes west 2 km to the mine site. An old road/trail continues past the trenching about 2.5 km onto what was once the Garnet Gold Mines property. The outcrop of interest lies about 360 m to the northeast of a small pond at the edge of spruce swamp.

Exploration History

1946 Garnet Gold Mines Ltd. acquired property approximately 2 miles south of Keith Lake with the object to explore potential extensions to the Joburke shear zone. The property was subsequently mapped in the summer of 1946 and drilled in 1947. Garnet Gold Mines Ltd. drilled 13 holes on their property for a total of approximately 9600' (2926m). One hole encountered a silicified zone reported to contain molybdenite. 1947: Groundhog Mining Corp. – GL. 1966 Kukatush Mining Corporation Ont. Ltd. drilled one hole on a property south of Keith Lake on what was previously the eastern edge of the Garnet Gold property. Very little mineralization was encountered. 1972: Dome Exploration Canada – AMag. 1987: Gail Resources – AEM, AMag.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Molybdenite showing in a drill hole at a vertical depth of 70'. Silicified Altered Zone described along contact between massive andesite and greywacke. The altered zone is described as having blue-black colour due to extensive molybdenite and the zone is reported to be silicified and feldspathized. It is remarked that this zone most likely belongs to the sediments.

Notes: The location of the drill collar of the reported showing was not discovered. However, the collar of the closest hole to the northwest was located without much difficulty. Using this point as a reference, the outcrop which corresponds to that of the bedrock drill set-up of the showing was located. This outcrop lies in a clear-cut/burn area near the edge of a spruce/muskeg swamp. The outcrop appears to be a well foliated (216 AZ 70-80 deg. dip) andesitic tuff. The rock is a light grey green on fresh surface and appears highly chloritic. Carbonate infilling occurs along foliation and fracture planes. Quartz lenses and elongated stringers < 10cm width are not uncommon. Trace pyrite was observed at some locations. No evidence of passed drilling was observed at this location.
