Location Method: AMIS Site Visit

Access Description: Drive east along the Renabie Mine access road for approximately 17 km from the north end of highway 651 to the Crooked Lake access road. Drive south for approximately 1.5 km to the Braminco access road and then turn west and drive for approximately 1000 m to the portal.



Exploration History

1940-41:Canbrae Mines Ltd. - 3639.6 ft ddh on C, B and No. 7 veins (8 ddh drilled on No. 7), trenching. 1946-47: Braminco Mines Ltd. - sampling, 33 ddh (9132 ft, trenching. 1983-84: Canreos Minerals (1980) Ltd. - ground geophysical survey, bulk sampling. 1985-88: Missibay Mining Ltd. - diamond drilling, ramp and open pit development on the No. 21 and No. 7 veins, contracted to supply Kidd Creek Mines Ltd. Smelter with flux for 2 years, bulk sample (4600 ton) shipped to Kidd Creek smelter; in production 1985-1987. 2003: Concopper Enterprises Limited - property purchased from Young-Davidson Mines Limited. 2008-2010: Concopper Enterprises Limited - ground geophysics, IP survey, GC. 2008-2010: Micon Gold Inc. - ground geophysics, soil geochemistry

Lithology Comments

Jul 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - The 7 Zone is described as quartz bands in schistose granite gneiss. They have an easterly strike, dip moderately to the north and the quartz bands suggest a complexly folded horizon.

Apr 28, 2015 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by the OGS in 2014 returned 0.052 oz/t Au and 0.2 oz/t Ag (288592E, 536066N, Zone 17, NAD83).

Notes: The No. 7 Vein lies approximately 182 m south of the No. 21 vein. Only low gold values are found in the sheared area between the two occurrences.
