Lithology Comments

Jul 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - The vein strikes N60W and dips 80° S. At the southeast end, where the vein disappears beneath the swamp, the width of quartz is approximately 3 feet. The vein narrows slightly to the northwest and curves to a more nearly east-west strike. Where the vein is widest, its south wall is a pinkish gneissic granite and the north wall is a grey massive type.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - Fairly high gold values were reported from the wider part of the vein for a length of more than 100 feet. The average grade of the C vein is reported to be 0.31 oz/t Au over 5.8 feet. The zone lies within a larger low grade zone that is over 90 m long. Diamond drilling by Canbrae returned assays ranging from 0.03 oz/t Au over 5.1 m to 0.51 oz/t Au over 0.8 m. Diamond drilling by Canbrae suggested a parallel band about 18 m southwest which is up to 0.8m wide and carries values from 0.10 to 0.50 oz/t and is open to the northwest. Chlorite alteration predominates over sericite alteration in the area and hematite enrichment locally accompanies anomalous gold values

Notes: At the SE end the width of quartz is approximately 3 feet. The vein narrows slightly to the NW and curves to a more nearly E-W strike. Diamond drilling completed by Canbrae suggests that a parallel vein or silicified zone lies approximately 18 m SW of the main vein. It is up to 0.8 m wide and carries values from 0.10 to 0.50 oz/t Au. It is open to the northwest.
