Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Tonalite 1 Trondhjemite-Tonalite Sheared Host
Vein 2 Quartz Host

Lithology Comments

Jul 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - The vein is hosted within trondhjemite. Mafic mineral contents in the marginal trondhjemite range from 5-15%; within the tonalite they range from 10 to 35%. The B Zone is hosted within the tonalitic phase of the intrusion. The B Zone outlines a complicated structure with a moderate westerly or northerly plunge. Surface sampling by Canbrae indicated a mineralized zone 55 ft long, 4 feet wide and grading 0.45 oz/t.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 14, 2014 (A Wilson) - Old surface sampling averaged 0.33 oz/t Au across 6.3 feet over 80.0 feet. The average of the best surface section returned an uncut grade of 0.46 oz/t Au across 5.4 feet over 80.0 feet or a cut grade of 0.38 oz/t Au over the same dimensions. Intersections from Canbrae's diamond drilling returned assays ranging from 0.04 oz/t Au over 0.8 m to 2.08 oz/t Au over 0.1 m.

Notes: The B vein outlines a complicated structure with a moderate westerly or northerly plunge. Diamond drilling by Canbrae indicated a geologically complex zone with erratic, but potentially economic values. The random locations of the drill intersections suggest that the mineralization does not join up with the A zone to the north, but rather bends to the west and is lost under the overburden cover. Unlike the 21 Vein and the Canabrae C Vein, this vein strikes E-W and dips moderately north. The average grade of the vein is 0.45 oz/t Au.
