Access Description: Access to the site is difficult. It is limited to skidoo access via tributaries of the Ivanhoe and Groundhog rivers in the winter and bycanoe or helicpoter in the summer.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intresected coarse-grained pyroxenite.
Jul 29, 2014 (P Bousquet) - The area where the drilling was completed is mapped as a ferroan-gabbro, part of the Montcalm Gabbroic Complex named the Nova lobe (R300). Drill hole data suggests the rock is a peridotite (T-3741, T-4027).

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The best assay was 5360 ppm Ni and 271ppm Cu over 1 m.
Jul 29, 2014 (P Bousquet) - HolesMAC96-01, MAC96-02, MAC96-03, MAC96-04, MAC97-22 and MAC97-23 returned consistent assays of 1000 ppm Ni over intersections of the peridotite. However, not all the peridotite was sampled which creates gaps where no data is available (T-3741, T-4027). Further drilling in the area does not reveal any PGE mineralization or anomaly, but did return some anomalous values in Co: 416 to 642 ppm over a total of 3.0 metres (Hole WTM05-05) (T-5338).
