Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The site is accessible by driving north along highway 651 to the Matchinameigus Lake turnoff. Drive SW along this road to the lake and then take the northward branch. Drive approximately 4 km to the south end of a narrow lake. The occurrence lies approximately 1 km to the NNE.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence consists of quartz lenses within a sheared mafic metavolcanic. The zone has been traced for approximately 200 feet. The shear lies close to the contact between the southern edge of the Murray Lake granodiorite and the surrounding mafic metavolcanic rocks.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by Davies in 1973 returned 1.55 oz/t Au, 0.01 oz/t Au and 0.2 oz/t Au. The best assay was associated with galena. Grab samples collected in 1998 returned assays of 7.58 g/t Au and 35.8 ppm Ag.
