Access Description: The site is accessible by boat from the Whitefish Lake/Manitowik Lake system. From the north shore of Manitowik Lake the iron formation is accessible by overland traverse.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation extends from the west side of Forge Lake, eastward across the township to the Cowie-Debassige township line. The iron formation consists of granular white silica and pyrite lenses and nodules. To the north and south, the iron formation is in contact with pyritized sericite schist, and sheared mafic metavolcanic rocks.
