Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Intermediate Tuff 1 Intermediate To Felsic Tuffaceous Host
Mafic lava flow-unsubdivided 2 Chloritic Host

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The showing on surface was tested by diamond drilling. The host rock is an intermediate to felsic tuffaceous unit that has undergone some shearing. Mineralization consists of a few narrow bands of pyrite. On surface, the mineralization occurs at the contact between mafic and intermediate to felsic metavolcanic rocks.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples of oxidized chalocpyrite and pyrite returned assays of 10-12% Cu. Fresh chalcopyrite samples returned assays of 1.25% Cu. A diamond drill intersections from 1970 returned an assay of 0.05% Cu, 0.06 oz/t Au and 0.03 oz/t Ag over 6 feet. Assays of the core sludge recovered in 1973 returned values of between 0.08% Cu and 0.23% Cu.
