Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The best access to the area is by boat from Whitefish Lake lodge to the north west shore of Manitowik Lake, and then overland traverse to Sweet Lake.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The upper portion of the iron formaiton consists of quartz with disseminated pyrite. Limonite is exposed on the surface near the pits. Nodules of pyrite have been observed in the schists found in contact with the iron formation. The shcist consists of pyrite and sericite.
