Point Location Description: Southwest corner of Domich Lake

Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The site is accessible from Hawk Junction. Drive north along the Alden Station road (parallel to the ACR tracks) for 11.4 km to where the rail crossing has been taken out. Drive east along the Forge Lake access road for 9 km. A few kilometres west of Forge Lake, the road splits and the south fork leads to the mine site. Domich Lake is located approximately 2 km SE of the mine site. Alternatively, the site is accessible by boat via Whitefish-Manitowik Lakes and then overland for approximately 1.5 km.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - This zone is structurally correlated with the NW-trending Nicho Lake Fault which can be traced into Aguonie Township in the McVeigh Creek area near Goudreau. The silicification and mineralization are pre-diabase but it is uncertain if this event is late Archean or Proterozoic in age.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence consists of a quartz-flooded vein system within a zone in the Whitefish Lake Batholith.
