Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Hook Lake Shear is characterized by chlorite schist and chlorite breccia. Quartz veining, commonly mineralized with minor chalcopyrite is spatially associated with this structure. It can be traced from Speight Lake to Hook Lake. The shear bends from a trned of 100 to 118 in the east to bout 90 in the west.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Gold occurrences are hosted within chalcopyrite-bearing quartz and quartz-tourmaline veins associated with a chlorite schist and/or breccia. Quartz-ankerite veins are also found within quartz-feldspar porphyry and metasedimentary rocks.
