Dec 06, 2011 (A Wilson) - The Arc Zone is situated near the north limit of the Forge Lake Deformation Zone within a discrete shear structure. A section of intense ductile shearing follows along the north half of the Finger Lake sedimentary unit. The ductile nature of shearing may extend for 25-150 m into the mafic volcanic-gabbro sequence to the north. This gives way to a brittle-fracture style of deformation with the quartz-ankerite-pyrrhotite-arsenopyrite gold zones occurring along narrow shears and extensional fractures.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence consists of highly ankeritized chlorite schists hosting up to 1.5 m wide quartz veins at the margin of a small quartz-feldspar porphyry intrusion. Both the wall rock and quartz veins are sulphidized with the wall rock containing pyrite.

Dec 06, 2011 (A Wilson) - Channel samples returned values ranging up to 6.1 g/ Au over 4 m. The higher grade gold mineralization with values up to 11.6 g/t Au over 1 m is hosted within the wall rock where the schist exhibits a higher degree of silicification. Gold assays from the veins range from 0.5 g/t Au to 2.0 g/t Au. Diamond drilling completed by Noranda intersected 0.45 g/t Au over 2.1 m and 0.9 g/t Au over 1.5 m. Samples collected by Sears et al. in 1998 returned values up to 3.47 g/t Au.
