Jul 16, 2010 (A Wilson) - The Farquhar Vein is located on the south side of the Gutcher Lake Stock. The trondhjemite stock displays an aureole of epidote-hornblende hornfels contact metamorphism that has been retrograded to greenschist facies. Intrusive textures in the stock have been overprinted by shearing. The occurrence lies within the western domain of the Goudreau Lake Deformation Zone which is composed of brittle and brittle-ductile high-strain zones displaying dextral oblique-slip displacement.

Jul 16, 2010 (A Wilson) - The quartz-ankerite vein contains some coarse visible gold and tourmaline and occurs within sheared pyritized trondhjemite of the Gutcher Lake stock. The vein occupies a shear that hosts chlorite and sericite schists. The wall rock visible on the south side of the vein is composed of strongly chloritic mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks. The vein has been traced by diamond drilling for a distance of 600 m along strike by Pele Gold Corporation. Visible gold is commonly observed in drill core from the property. The vein exhibits a significant pinch and swell structure that is strongly influenced by the contact of the Gutcher Lake Stock. Deformation and alteration that hosts the gold mineralization continues in both directions along strike and at depth.

Jul 16, 2010 (A Wilson) - Local coarse gold has been observed in the vein. Surface sampling indicated erratic gold values. Most surface values ran 0.05 oz/t Au or less. A grab sample from trench F ran 0.38 oz/t over 1.8 m and trench G ran 0.34 oz/t over 1.02 m. The best gold assays in drill core ran 0.76 oz/t at 143 feet and 0.89 oz/t over 0.5 m. Grab samples collected by Pele Mountain from the Farquhar vein in 2006 returned values ranging from 11.2 g/t gold up to 108.5 g/t gold. Significant assays from their 2006 drilling program include 12.0 g/t Au over 0.92 m including 25.7 g/t Au over 0.30 m in FDH06-08 and 23.3 g/t Au over 1.9 m in DDH06-20.
