Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Mineralization is hosted within strongly schistose, heavily carbonated intermediate to felsic crystal tuff. In the areas surrounding the shaft, intermediate to felsic lapilli tuff, breccia and flow-banded flows have been observed. Scattered chloritoid grains have been observed in the vicinity of the shaft. Mineralization is associated with quartz and carbonate along narrow fractures and in association with some granular white quartz veins.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 02, 2010 (A Wilson) - Assays from grab samples taken from the Kozak property by the OGS range from 0.04 oz/t Au and 12.5 oz/t Ag to 0.30 oz/t Au and 29.24 oz/t Ag. The interesting silver values do not extend to depth. Moore 1931 reported the presence of argentite and secondary native silver. The main shaft vein reportedly assays 0.25 oz/t Au and 11.2 oz/t Ag over 2.9 feet. A grab sample from a waste pile collected by Pele Mountain Resources in 2009 returned 50 g/t Au, 161 g/t Ag, 4.3% Zn and 1.1% Pb. Four other grab samples taken in the vicinity returned values ranging from 0.95 to 10.3 g/t Au, 47 to 421 g/t Ag, 0.36 to 0.94% Zn and 0.16 to 0.52% Pb.
