Point Location Description: Approximately 900 m NW of Kozak Lake

Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The site is accessible by travelling north along a bush road out of the community of Hawk Junction for 11.5 km, then by ATV and/or foot for approximately 6 km to the Kozak Mine site. From the Kozak Mine site, the occurrence is accessible by a 3 km bush traverse NNW of Kozak Lake.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies within the western domain of the Goudreau Lake Deformation Zone which is composed of 85 to 115 degree striking brittle and brittle-ductile high-strain zones displaying dextral oblique-slip displacement. The occurrence lies within intermediate to mafic metavolcanic rocks at the sheared margin of the trondhjemititc Gutcher Lake Stock. The vein has been segmented into 3 or 4 sections by right lateral offset across northeast-striking strike-slip faults.
