Lithology Comments

Nov 02, 2010 (A Wilson) - The drill hole was meant to test an anomalous gold zone that is associated with sulphide- rich host rocks within a mappable zone of predominantly iron formation and mafic tuffs locally intruded by quartz feldspar porphyry. Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of interbedded mafic tuff and banded iron formation and quartz porphyry sills. The mafic metavolcanics are frequently sheared. A quartz vein is intermittently exposed for a strike length of 300 m. The vein transects iron formation and mafic tuff intruded by local granodiorite dikes. The vein dips steeply to the northwest and displays a significant width ranging between 1 to 3 m.
