Access Description: Drive north along Highway 17 for approximately 28 km from the junction between Highway 17 and Highway 101. Follow the Belanger forestry road southeast and take the southernmost branch of the forestry road at the Voodoo Lake Road..

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation is described as medium to fine-grained, banded granular quartz interlayered with minor amounts of magnetite and iron silicate. The iron fomration is highly siliceous. The surrounding intermediate metavolcanic rocks are described as consisting of quartz-sericite schist.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation is estimated to contain between 10 and 20% iron. Locally parts of the iron formation may contain up to 40% iron.
