Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Follow the Bremner Road from highway 101 for approximately 500m. The vein is accessed by walking up and over the stripped outcrops on the north-west side of the road.

?: discovery by B. Soulier. 1939: property examination. 1968:Shield Development Ltd. - ground EM survey. 1979-80: Firespur Exploration - ground mag and EM surveys, mapping. 1989-91:Firesand Resources Ltd. - stripping, mapping, sampling basal till survey.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence consists of a silicified shear zone at the contact between a quartz-feldspar porphyry and felsic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 26, 2016 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1980 returned values ranging from 318 to 5200 ppm Cu and 166 to 212 ppm Zn. Samples collected in 1990 yielded 1.06% Zn, 3050 ppm Cu and 0.291 oz/t Ag. Samples collected by Firesand Resources returned best assays of: 8% Zn, 12%Pb and 0.79 oz/t Ag over 3 ft; 11.0% Zn, 0.52% Pb and 2.18 g/t Ag from a grab sample and 10.8% Zn, 1.35% Pb and 5.07 oz./t Ag over 3 ft. Chip samples collected by the OGS in 1990 returned values up to 7.6% Zn, 10.40% Pb and 25.0 g/t Ag over1 m and 10.8% Zn, 1.35% Cu, 173.81 g/t Au over 1 m.
