Access Description: The property is accessible by driving along the Bremner Road for approximately 1.7 km from hwy 101 to the Lakemount trail. From there, follow the trail for 2 km to the creek.



Exploration History

1926: discovery by J. H. Teare. 1943: Lakemount Mines Ltd. - 10 ddh (742m). 1943: Lakemount MInes Ltd. - sampling. 1962: Algoma Central Railway - sampling 1968: Shield Development Ltd. - ground mag and EM surveys. 1979-80: Firespur Explorations Ltd. - ground mag and EM, mapping, sampling. 1989-91: Firesand Resources Ltd. - stripping, sampling, mapping, 4 ddh.

Jan 26, 2016 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected in 1943 returned: 4.32% Cu, 3.54% Pb, 6 oz./t Ag, and 0.02 oz./t Au. A grab sample collected in 1959 returned an assay of 4.32% Cu, 3.58% Zn, 8.57 oz./t Ag and 0.70 oz/t Au. Grab samples collected in 1962 returned: 0.05 oz/t Au, 2.8 oz/t Ag, 2% Cu, 4.08% Zn. Chip samples collected by Firespur in 1980 returned 2.4 g/t Au, 173.8 g/t Ag, 3.14% Cu and 4.4% Zn over 1.52m. Chip samples taken in 1990 returned: 0.07 oz/t Au, 5.07 oz/t Ag, 3.14% Cu and 4.4% Zn over 1.52 m.
