Location Method: AMIS Site Visit
Access Description: Site is located 26 km from Wawa. Hwy.17 is taken for 14 km to Steephill Falls Dam Road. The dam is passed at 19.4 km and another 6.6 km is taken on gravels roads (first taking the right fork at 22.9 km and the left fork at 23.4 km). The showing is 88m south of the gravel road. The gravel road is washed out at this point.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies stratigraphically above the Michipicoten iron formation within argillite and wackes. The main occurrence lies adjacent to a small quartz gabbro intrusion.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Information on the property is sketchy at best. The occurrence is described as consisting of a series of quartz veins within a diorite. The OGS mapped a small quartz gabbro plug in the vicinity of the showing and has located the occurrence adjacent to an NW-trending diabase dike. No recent mapping of the occurrence has taken place.

Jan 08, 2016 (A Wilson) - Samples taken from trenches by Hollinger returned values ranging from 0.02 - 1.88 oz. Au/t. Samples collected by Lucuik in 1991 returned assays up to 2190 ppb Au. A grab sample collected from a quartz vein by Dumont Nickel from the same vicinity returned 1315 ppm Au.
