Access Description: The site is accessible via the Eagle River Mine/Paint Lake road. Drive west along the road for approximately 11 km to the north end of Paint Lake. Mount Raymond is a hill located approximately 250 m to the north of the road.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Mount Raymond Iron Range is contiguous with the iron formation known as the Morse Mountain Range. The Mount Raymond is that portion of the iron formation extending east from Morse Mountain to Raymong Lake where it folds southward to Paint Lake.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation consists of interbedded, fine-brained chert and siliceous magnetite. Small disseminations of pyrite have been obsrved locally. The iron formation is intensely folded and brecciated. Iron formation is in conttact with quarz-feldspar tuffs to the west. Some sideritic sections have been observed in the vicinity of Paint Lake.
