Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Oxide Ironstone 1 Oxide-Facies Host
Intermediate lava flow-unsubdivided 2 Sheared Footwall
Muddy Conglomerate 3 Argillite, Wacke, Conglomerate Hanging Wall

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation is chiefly composed of very thinly bedded magnetite-hematite and chert. A carbonate facies is locally present at the eastern end of the iron formation. It is overlain by a thinly bedded oxide facies and capped by massive to brecciated chert. The carbonate facies is composed of siderite. The oxide facies constitutes greater than 90% of the iron range.
