Access Description: The site is accessible via the Eagle River Mine/Paint Lake road. Drive west along the road for approximately 25.5 km to the powerline. Drive north along a forestry road for approximately 12 km.

pre 1977: trenching, sampling. 1977-83: Noranda Exploration Ltd. - mapping, ground geophysics, 4 ddh (1358 ft).

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is underlain by interbedded rhyolites and andesites that are intruded by north-trending diabase dikes. The intermediate metavolcanics commonly host quartz and feldspar crystals phenocrysts). These rocks are strongly sheared and altered. The metavolcanics host numerous quartz veinlets that are heavily mineralized.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Elevated copper and zinc values were returned from dacitic tuffs in diamond drill core. Copper values ranged from .018% to 1.05%. Zinc values ranged from 0.014% to 0.33%. The best silver values were obtained from drill hole KA 79-1where they ranged from 0.05 oz/t to 0.23 oz/t Ag.
