Access Description: The site is accessible via the Eagle River Mine/Paint Lake road. Drive west along the road for approximately 25.5 km to the powerline. Drive north along a forestry road for approximately 12 km.

1998-2000: Charbonneau, Gerdes, Thibodeau - prospecting, stripping, channel sampling. 1999: Noront Resources - mapping, sampling. 1999: River Gold Mines - mapping, sampling.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The lithology consists of a mixture of mafic to intermediate tuffs and crystal tuffs and massive flows interbedded with massive quartz-feldspar porphyry sills. A prominent series of quartz-carbonate ladder veins host the main zone of mineralization.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Channel samples collected by Gerdes et al. returned values of 213.82 g/t Au over 0.6 m (includes visible gold), 5.21 g/t over 1.1 m (grab sample in this area returned 95 g/t Au), 7 g/t Au over 1.34 m, 31 g/t Au over 0.5 m and 1.4 g/t Au over 1.5 m. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1999 returned values of 1804 ppm Cu, 1.24% Zn and 0.02 oz/t Au.
