Point Location Description: Carbonate shear zones south of Stickelback Lake
Location Method: Data Compilation
Access Description: The site is accessible via the Eagle River Mine/Paint Lake road. Drive west along the road for approximately 16 km to the bridge over the University River. Take the Iron Lake bush road north west for approximately 6 km to the boat launch on the lake. The occurrence is located approximately 1.75 km north north west of the south end of Minnesota Bay.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Strong ankerite alteration with sericite and pyrite-chalcopyrite mineralization occurs within the gabbroic unit outcropping on the north side of Red Pine Point.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Four carbonate altered zones have been identified along the gabbroic contact have been found to host anomalous gold values. The best assay from this zone is 655 pppb Au. B horizon soil samples return values about 2-3 times the average value.
