Point Location Description: Multiple quartz veins on shoulder of Eagle River Mine road south of Spring Lake

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: The site is accessible via the Eagle River Mine/Paint Lake road. Drive west along the road for approximately 24 km to where a disused forestry road heads northeast towards Bennett Lake. The mine road follows the shear from approximately the old University River bridge crossing to the Bog Lake area.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The shear zone consists of chlorite-sericite-carbonate schist with disrupted quartz-tourmaline veins. The gold values from the quartz veins are consistently anomalous along the trend. The zone is intensely sheared and shows strong carbonate alteration.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Anomalous gold values usually range between 700 and 1000 ppb from quartz veins along the road. Occasional grab samples will return values up to 1.5 g/t Au.
