Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted by the Northern Zone of the East Pukaskwa Deforamtion Zone. This zone has a strike length of approximately 2.5 km and a width of 300m. The zone is centred along the contact between felsic metavolcanics to the nroth (hanging wall) and metasediments to the south (footwall). Clasts in conglomerates are hightly attentuated and commonly difficult to discern from matrix. Deformation and alteration, including green mica, are similar to the Mishibishu Deformation Zone suggesting that the northern zone of the EPDZ may be the western extension of the MDZ.
