Point Location Description: Outcrops of iron formation on the north shore of Charlotte Lake

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Drive south along the Paint Lake - Eagle River Mine road for approximately 3 km. There are a series of iron formation outcrops heading west from the road. Charlotte Lake is located within Obatanga Provincial Park.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation contains lenses of pyrite and magnetite interbedded with chert. The iron formation consists of a series of dicontinuous lenses and bands that are easterly trending.
