Access Description: The site is most easily accessible via a disused bush road which runs north along McVeigh Creek towards the drilled area. Alternatively the site is accessible via the new Goudreau Road which traverses Finan Township and from there a series of secondary forestry roads will take one within a half kilometer or so.
1918-19: C. Kaupp - prospecting, trenching. 1959-60: Adonis Mines Ltd. - ground EM survey, 6 ddh (989 ft). 1980-81: Noranda Exploration Ltd. - mapping, ground magnetics and VLF-EM. 1985-86: S. Sears - ground magnetometer suvey, mapping. 1986: Muscocho Exploration Ltd. - mapping, 3 ddh (111 ft).

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The showing straddles the boundaries between the Northern and Southern Domains of the Goudreau Lake Deformation Zone. The GLDZ is up to 4.5 km in width and strikes in a gentle sigmoid-form for at least 30 km, subparallel to the stratigraphy and the regional foliation. In the immediate Goudreau-Lochalsh area, the GLDZ is coincident with a major contact between Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 volcanics.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted within quartz-carbonate stringers within sheared intermediate to mafic metavolcanic rocks. The earlies trenching is observed to have been completed at the margins of an adjacent diabase dike.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Gold values of $8.38 to $20.00 over widths of 6 feet reported in 1918-1919. The best values obtained by Adonis Mines Ltd. was 0.36 oz/t Au over 2 feet. The best copper values obtained were 0.30% over 1.5 feet and Ag 0.22 oz/t from the same sample. Grab samples collected from the old trenches by Muscocho Exploration in 1986 returned values less than 0.026 oz/t Au. Other grab samples collected in the area returned insignificant gold values.
