Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - This range was recognized by Goodwin in 1953. It lies on the north shore of an unnamed lake midway between Rainbow Lake and Pashoshkoota Lake. It forms a sharp ridge along the east side of Finger Lake and then bends abruptly eatward at the north end of Finger Lake. Sage 1993 has included this segment as part of the South Evans Creek Iron Range. This iron range occurs on the nose of the Centre Anticline and the observed strike of the entire iron range is a reflection of the folding and shearing.
