Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies within the Northern Batholithic Complex. This extensive granitoid complex lies to the north of the Michipicoten Greenstone Belt.

Lithology Comments

Jul 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - Splashes of molybdenum were observed on the shoreline of the lake in a pegmatite dike within a biotite gneiss. The pegmatite dike is roughly 1 foot wide and is pink, quartz-feldspar pegmatite containing The biotite granite-gneiss is foliated to poorly banded, fine to medium-grained and is cut by small irregular feldspar-quartz pegmatites.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - The #1 showing is in outcrop. The #2 showing is located approximately 125 m east of the #1 showing. This molybdenite occurrence occurs in narrow quartz stringers in pegmatite, associated with muscovite and pyrite.
