Jul 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - A 4.5 to 7.5 m, deeply weathered, brown gossan zone was found in mafic metavolcanic rocks (diabase) on the west side of a small bay. The metavolcanics are highly carbonatized, deep brown weathering, soft and fragile.

Jul 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - Small occurrences of chalcopyrite and bornite are found associated with quartz veins near the margin of diabase dikes. A few small patches of malachite associated with calcite were observed at the site.
