Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The shaft has been sunk on a quartz vein in a sericitic shear zone. The sericitic shear is hosted by a mafic intrusive sill or flow. Diamond drilling intersected altered quartz-feldspar porphyry at depth.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by Cymbal in 1981 from the vicinity of the shaft averaged values of 0.08 oz/t Au, the highest value was 0.15 oz/t Au. Mineralization occurs in quartz-carbonate veins within sericitic-chloritic shears. The shears vary from a few inches to 20 feet inwidth, many are short and discontinuous. The best assay returned from a basal till survey conducted in the area was 0.02 oz/t Au.
