Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Cradle Lakes Deformation Zone is at least 5 km in length and rouchly 1-2 km wide, but may be up to 10 km in total length. The CLDZ is subparalle to stratigraphy and occurs largely within fedlspar-crystal tuffs, which in many places are difficult to distinguish fromthe cradle Lakes stock, a feldspar porphyry intrusion adjacent to and partially within the CLDZ. The CLDZ contains a large, east-striking high stain zone that is up to 40 m wide and has been traced for several hundred metres along strike.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is described as consisting of a quartz vein within a 5 foot wide sheared section of diorite to granodiorite. The intrusive was mapped by the OGS as a quartz-feldspar porphyry.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is described as having returned assays of 0.03 oz/t Au across 5 ft, 0.66 oz/t Au across 3 ft, 0.13 oz/t Au across 8 inches, 0.13 oz/t across 10 inches and 0.03 oz/t Au acros 4 feet.
