Access Description: Access is via an 18 km all-weather gravel road that turns off of highway 519 just west of the town of Dubreuilville. Dubreuilville is on highway 519, 44 km east of the junction of Highway 17 and 519. From the junction of the old and new Goudreau Roads, drive east for approximately 4 km. A disused bush road intersects the old Goudreau Road on the north side. The Occurrence is located appoximately 2 km along this road.
1960's: Algoma Steel Corporation - trenching. 1977: Gulf Minerals - trenching, diamond drilling. 1984: Canamax Resources Inc. - mapping, ground geophysics, diamond drilling (6 ddh 720m). 2000: Patricia Mining Corp. - trenching, mapping, sampling, 21 ddh (small tonnage of subeconomic gold mineralization defined).

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The deposit lies within the Western Domain of the Goudreau Lake Deformation Zone. The GLDZ is up to 4.5 km in width and strikes in a gentle sigmoid-form for at least 30 km, subparallel to the stratigraphy and the regional foliation. In the immediate Goudreau-Lochalsh area, the GLDZ is coincident with a major contact between Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 volcanics. There is a strong structural control of the gold-bearing quartz veins systms within each of the 070-075 striking high-strain zones within the deformation zone. The Western Domain has been studied in less detail than the other domains of the deformation zone. It appears to be similar to the eastern domain in terms of high-strain zone orientations and deformation style. The western domain is composed of 85 degree and 115 degree-striking brittle and brittle-ductile high-stain zones displaying dextral oblique-slip displacement. Lineations plunge moderately to the west.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The carbonate-sulphide facies iron formation lies at the contact between mafic and felsic intermediate metavolcanic rocks. The iron formation has been tightly folded with its nose pointing to the east. Chloritoid alteration has been observed in the sericitic felsic pyroclastic rocks. Feldspar and quartz porphyritic dikes have also been observed in the vicinity of the showing.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Two diamond drill holes returned encouraging values. Hole 03-6 intersected 2 m of iron formation which assayed 5.89 g/t Au; of which one metre assayed 10.74 g/t Au. Hole 03-7 returned an assay of 4.02 g/t Au over 8 metres. The remaining drill holes returned assays that ran from 0.05 g/t Au over 3 metre to 0.11 g/t Au over 8 metres. The high assays appear to be coincident with thin chloritized fractures within the iron formation. Channel and grab samples from trenches completed by Patricia Mining Corp in 2000 returned values ranging from 1.01 g/t Au to 36.17 g/t Au. The highest values are associated with the contact between the iron formation and the mafic flows.

Notes: All of the rocks are strongly schistose and are truncated to the west by the Maskinonge Lake fault. Gold values are localized in that portion of the iron formation adjacent to the Maskinonge Lake Fault and show a systematic decrease away from the fault.
