Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Vein 1 Quartz-Ankerite Host
Intermediate Tuff 2 Tuff, Crystal Tuff Near

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The quartz vein is a 20-30 m long, 0.25 to 1 m wide, stretched, contorted and boudinaged bullish white quartz vein with numerous adjacent quartz-ankerite-calcite-tourmaline veins. THe vein is hosted by a sequence of intermediate to felsic metavolcanics (tuff, crystal tuff) with a 3-5 m wide band of oxidized intermediate tuffs showing pervasive ankerite alteration. The veins are controlled by a southeast-trending shear zone and the Canamax drilling likely missed the structure.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Assays returned from samples collected by Canamax in 1989 returned values up to 33.45 g/t Au over 1 m. Canamax DDH 061-02-75 intersected the vein and returned values up to 6.24 g/t Au over 0.35 m. Locally these veins assay up to 20 g/t Au over 1 m and averaged 4.0 g/t Au over 11 m. Channel samples collected by Patricia Mining Corp. in 2000 returned values up to 0.69 g/t Au over 1 m.
