1975: Cypress Resources Ltd. optioned the property from R. Newman, but no work was recorded. 1977: R. Newman optioned the property to Copper Lake Explorations Ltd., who carried out a geological survey, sampling, and VLF-EM survey. 1980: the property was staked by D. McKinnon, who optioned it to Corona Resources Ltd. Corona carried out ground magnetic and VLF-EM surveys, and drilled 83 DDH totalling over 26,000 feet. 1982-83: Noranda optioned the property and conducted diamond drilling. 2002: Williams Operating Corp. carried out drilling and sampling. This area is now part of the Williams open pit and under the waste rock pile.

Jan 22, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Horizon Zone is reported to have assayed up to 6.86 ppm Au, 0.284% Zn, and 179 ppm Mo from a metasedimentary unit that includes altered and deformed pelite, sandstone, and conglomerate. The Golden Sceptre North Zone is described as strongly deformed, altered, clastic sediments and felsic volcanics, with assays up to 11.31 ppm Au over 11.0 m (Muir, 2016).
