Exploration History

1962: C. von Klein conducted prospecting in the area and discovered a number of Cu-Zn showings.1962: MacIntyre Porcupine Mines Ltd. conducted geological mapping, geophysical surveys, and drilled 1 DDH totalling 115 m. 1984: Noranda flew an airborne electromagnetic geophysical survey. 1986: Noranda conducted trenching and sampling.1987: Noranda conducted a geological survey, soil geochemistry survey, VLF and mag geophysical surveys. 1994: Hemlo Gold Mines conducted geological mapping, magnetometer and IP surveys, trenching and sampling. 2005: H. Griggs conducted geological mapping, prospecting and a magnetic survey. 2011: Entourage Metals Ltd. conducted prospecting, sampling, and a soil geochemistry survey.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 29, 2016 (Therese Pettigrew) - Disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, some sphalerite, quartz with molybdenum. Hornblende-biotite gneiss and quartz-biotite gneiss with up to 0.65% Cu and 17.5 pm Ag (M2614). The mineralization consists mainly of stringer and disseminated sulphides (AFRI 20000000738).
