Exploration History

1962: C. von Klein discovered a number of Cu-Ni and Cu-Pb-Zn showings in the area east and southeast of Lunny Lake. McIntyre Porcupine Mines Ltd. optioned the property and drilled 9 DDH totaling 289.5 m. 1967-69: Caravelle Mines Ltd. drilled 23 DDH totaling 3343 m. 1976: Noranda Exploration Company conducted electromagnetic and magnetometer ground surveys as well as a geological survey. 1983: Noranda conducted a resistivity and IP survey and drilled 8 DDH totaling 1011 m. 1984: Noranda flew an airborne electromagnetic survey. 2007: B. Fowler conducted a ground mag geophysical survey. 2009: B. Fowler conducted prospecting and sampling. 2011: Entourage Metals Ltd. conducted prospecting and a soil geochemical survey.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 29, 2016 (Therese Pettigrew) - Disseminated to stringered pyrite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite. Amphibolite inclusion in rhyolite breccia. Assayed up to 0.46% Cu over 1.49 m; 0.9% Ni over 0.41 m; 56.22 ppm Ag over 0.46 m; and 1.028 ppm Au over 0.91 m (M2614).
