Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Mineralization is hosted within a variable sheared, locally mineralized feldspar porphyry dike. Moderate to strong silicification and weak to moderate biotitization are pervasive with an irregular, strongly to intensely altered core. Biotite is locally altered to chlorite and diffuse patches of of green mica were locally observed. A silica-flooded zone forming an incipient quartz stockwork is present with the NE part of the trench.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by Freewest returned assays up to 13.10 g/t Au and channel samples contained 4.09 g/t Au and 14.37 g/t Ag over 6.15 m (including 17.1 g/t Au and 34.0 g/t Ag over 1.01 m). Several of the 21 grab samples colected from other portions of the zone returned isolated values ranging from 1.05 to 24.7 g/t Au. Mineralization tends to concentrate where alteration and diffuse shearing are the strongest and consists of 3-5% pyrite and some pyrrhotite occurring as diffuse pods and narrow bands. The zone is crosscut by numerous variably deformed, fine-grained gabbro and mafic biotite lamprophyre dikes, discrete faults and narrow shears.
