Lithology Comments

Nov 30, 2018 (A Wilson) - The showing consists of a simple quartz-carbonate vein cutting mafic pillowed metavolcanic rocks. The adjacent strongly sheared wallrock is highly chloritic with carbonate alteration. The southern end of the structure exhibits strongly silicified + albitic alteration flooding into the adjacent pillowed metavolcanics. Coincident felsic to intermediate porphyry intrusions are absent from this zone. The quartz at the northern part of the zone is strongly fractured and deformed. To the south, the quartz is strongly brecciated with quartz flooding.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Surface grab samples grade up to 626.44 g/t and channel samples have returned values up to 6.61 g/t Au over 0.5 m.

Nov 30, 2018 (P Bousquet) - Four holes were drilled on the Lynx Zone in 2011. Hole SZ11-22 returned an assay of 7.4 g/t gold over 0.47 m from a quartz vein in a mafic flow, Hole SZ11-23 returned an assay of 13.2 g/t gold over 0.32 m in a quartz vein in a komatiite flow, Hole SZ11-24 returned assays of 1.96 and 1.35 g/t gold over 0.3 m from a mafic flow, HoleSZ11-25 returned an assay of 1.58 g/t gold over 0.3 m from a sheared mafic flow (WP Odlum.10).
