Lithology Comments

Feb 15, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - Bands and haloes of pyrite and magnetite are found surrounding ultramafic veins within granitic gneisses. The gabbro is described as consisting of coarse pyroxene and hornblende with biotite and magnetite. The massive to semi-massive magnetite zones are up to 3000 feet long and 1500 feet wide. Mafic volcanics are the predominant rock type observed on the property and include massive, pillowed, and lesser variolitic flows, flow breccias and chloritic schists. Felsic volcanic rocks are spatially related to mineralization (gold and base metals), and include tuffs, and local breccias, massive and quartz-feldspar phyric flows, and quartz-sericite schists.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 15, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - Analysis from core reportedly returned 0.022% Ni, 2.03% Cr and 5.5% TiO2. A grab sample collected in 1977 returned an assay of 6.36% Ti, 0.01% Ni, 0.07% Cu and 0.32% V. Grab samples collected by the Hanna Mining Company returned values of: 2.43% Ti, 0.02% Ni, 0.15% V; 1.75% Ti, 0.02% Ni and 0.18% V. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1972 returned an analysis of: 48.9% Fe, 6.36% Ti, 0.07 % V, 0.01% Ni. A 300 lb bulk sample taken during 1957 gave concentrate of 70.0% Fe. Chemical assays of the bulk sample showed 45.6% Fe with 2.03 % chrome, 5.6% titania. Grab samples taken by Teck Cominco Ltd. in 2004 showed 0.24% Cr, 0.10% Ni; 1.0% Cu, 0.06% Ni, 2 ppm Au.
