Mineralization Comments

Dec 17, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Massive and disseminated sulphide mineralization occurs within the interflow metasediments hosted by the mafic metavolcanics rocks north of Melgund Creek. Nexus Resource’s trench no. 1 provided the best exposed sulphide-bearing section, with massive and disseminated sulphides consisting of pyrrhotite, pyrite, sphalerite, molybdenite, plus minor magnetite and hematite occur within siliceous argillite, graphitic argillite, and lesser sericite-quartz schist. Weakly mineralized biotite-quartz schist occurs above and below the mineralized unit. The best assay in zinc was sample 86314 which returned 10,600 ppm Zn and 720 ppm Cu over 0.08 m. Sample 86315 returned 168 ppm Mo over a width of 1.01 m. Sample 86345 returned 1180 ppm Cu and 1900 ppm Zn from a grab sample (Assessment report 42D09NE0060). Sample HW025 collected by Newmont Mines in 1992 returned an assay of 2000 ppm Zn and 420 ppm Cu (Assessment file 42D09NE0125).
