Exploration History

1915: Claim staked TB746 1918: Claim held by Duck Lake Mining Company, who performed surface and underground development. 1927: Harison Syndicate held the property. 1930: Haslat-Duck Lake Mines performed surface and underground work, including 3 shafts. One shaft was 18 m deep with 21 m of crosscutting. A second shaft is 36.5 m deep. 1951: Property laid idle until S.J. Sacks diamond drilled two of the locations. Magnet Consolidated Mines ltd drilled 10 diamond drill holes totalling 896 m. 1954: Bathurst Mining Corp. conducted EM, Mag and trenching. 1959: Property acquired by V.B. Feely and J.P. McDermott or KRNO Mines. 1980: Staked by Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. 1981: Geophysical surveys completed. 1982: Geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys conducted. 1983: An airborne geophysical survey was conducted. 1984-87: Noranda transferred all interest to Corporation Falconbridge Copper, who conducted a geochem survey, mapping and stripping. A diamond drill programs was also conducted. 1990: An IP geophysical survey was conducted. 1993: Rusty Lake Resources and Metall Mining Corp conducted diamond drilling on the Coco-Estell and Nelson Pit Occurrences. 1995: The property was held by Inmet Mining Corporation. 1996: The property was under option to Hemlo Gold Mines Ltd. who conducted some reconnaissance geological work.
